2009
NEWSLETTER HIGHLIGHTS
OCTOBER / NOVEMBER 2009
Welcome to our new season - we look forward to seeing current members and new members working hard and gaining results in tests and competitions. Results will appear on other pages of this site.
Our Annual General Meeting was held in October when a new Committee was elected. We were sorry to lose our Treasure Jennie Wall, who is now following other interests but will still find time to skate. Our new Treasurer, MELODY KING, is no stranger to the Committee.
Skaters of the Year for free and dance were presented with trophies:
Junior Progress Trophy (Level 3 & under): LEAH CANNING
Senior Progress Trophy (Level 4 & over):
GABRIELLE JOHNSON
Ice Dance Trophy (any standard): resulted in a tie: SAMANTHA DAWSON & CARLIE JONES

Unfortunately the team event for the Phillips Trophy had to be cancelled due to problems with the ice. It is hoped to be able to hold this competition as soon as possible. We apologise to skaters from Altrincham who were looking forward to competing with us.
Our team for the Northern Free League travelled to Blackburn where we placed 4th.
